The Museum of Natural History is housed in the former administrative building of Emperor Maximilian I. On a surface area of some 1,000 m², arranged on two floors, visitors are taken on a journey through time through South Tyrol’s landscape and natural history. Models, dioramas, experiments and multimedia stations provide insights into South Tyrol’s geological past and the emergence and development of its habitats. Numerous special exhibitions on the ground floor supplement the permanent exhibition.
