This museum in Sexten (Sesto) was opened in 1969. Its two exhibition halls contain primarily sketches and drafts for numerous frescoes, as well as studies, water colors, and graphic works by the famed South Tyrolean artist Rudolf Stolz (1874-1960). Among his main works are the 'Dance of the Dead' in the Sexten cemetery and several frescoes in its arcade. To pay tribute to the artist's works, the community of Sexten built a museum on the main square designed by his son-in-law, the architect Erich Pattis. The artist's daughters have made 160 of his works available for the exhibition.
